Function
As a technical representative, you will be responsible for the development of long-term sales and rentals in your region.
Your mission: to capture maximum market share and match the same ratio in terms of business services. In your search for new customers, you proactively contact prospects to offer them solutions. With your "customized" advice, you can build a solid relationship of trust with your existing and potential customers.
The following tasks are part of your daily routine:
- Developing the sales, rental and service business (e.g. maintenance contracts) of civil engineering machines.
- Maintaining and strengthening the relationship with existing customers.
- Proactively contacting potential customers (based on lead generation).
- Follow-up of the process from A to Z: from the first contact to the sale/rental of machines/contracts.
- Optimizing the machinery fleet in collaboration with the customer for increased productivity and efficiency.
- Updating customer information (offers, leads, contacts, visits, new customers, etc.) in Salesforce.
- Continuous market monitoring and you inform Team Marketing about :
- new market trends;
- new trends in competition;
- new trends in customers.
- Promotion of the entire product range (machines and tools) by systematically making unique sales proposals according to customer needs.
- Analysis of specific working conditions and areas of application at the customer's premises in order to provide tailor-made advice for the type of machine, solutions in new and/or second-hand, specific equipment, optimal management, cost management and related services (e.g. maintenance contracts).
- Continuously update your knowledge of our products and our competitors' products, in particular through training, experience and self-training.
- Smooth management of offers and order forms.
- Fast and targeted response to requests from customers, prospects and colleagues.
- Active participation in the sales meeting.
- You will report to the sales director.
Profile
You are a sales assistant with a passion for civil engineering machinery and technology. You want to go hunting and farming every day. You enjoy working independently in an informal company culture. You are strong in communication. Your clear vision of your customers and their needs, of our products and business strategy goes hand in hand with persuasive power.
You also have the following skills:
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. automotive engineering) or equivalent through experience.
- Min. 5 years sales experience, preferably in a technical sector.
- Have a commercial sense.
- Be bilingual NL/FR and have a good knowledge of English.
- Have an affinity with technology.
- Be customer focused and understand their needs.
- Pragmatic and solution oriented.
- Enjoy social interaction.
- Be assertive, but not aggressive.
- Be able to communicate professionally and fluently with different interlocutors, even in difficult situations.
- Always have an overview of the situation and can easily set priorities.
- Quickly build a solid professional network (internally and with customers).
- Listen, have a strong commercial approach and be persuasive.
- Be rigorous and have an eye for detail.
- Ability to work with Office 365 and experience with Salesforce is a plus.
