Sales & People Manager - B2B - Energy Sector -Vlaanderen


Achieve the targets described in the budget and business plan for his region through direct sales to mid-market accounts and through the management of 6 account managers.

Key figures:

  • Management of 10 ( 6 + 2 + 2 ) Account & Key Account Managers
  • Number of contracts: 1200/year
  • Contracted Margin per year : +/- 6.000 k€

  • Ensure commercial development in his/her region through prospection & retention for
    • Gas & Electricity energy products
    • Solar and Electric Mobility solutions
  • Hire, Motivate, coach and manage/develop the account managers team
  • Achieve the growth and retention targets (volume and margins)
  • Develop a perfect knowledge of the product range and price mechanisms
  • Develop commercial actions in collaboration with the Marketing, Communication departments and other business partners ( internal and external )
  • Participate to Bid Management and Tendering when appropriate
  • Promote & lead the energy transition through product diversification in close relationship with product management & dedicated sales
  • Insure a constant follow up of the market developments and needs
  • Develop and represent the company and its image/presence ( sales network, events, networking, media )
  • Define objectives, KPI’s and monitor results in collaboration with management team
  • Participate to the improvement of the sales processes and tools
  • Participate to the activities of the department and company ( meeting, training, …. )
  • Regular reporting to the Head of the Business Unit

The main challenges of the entity are the following:

  • To design commercial offers adapted to the needs of professional customers
  • To develop a well balanced portfolio of customers through direct and indirect sales
  • To manage the administrative, purchase and billing flows and the exchange of complex data
  • To diversify its products & services ranges namely through Solar & EV Mobility activities
  • To be highly professional, cost effective and innovative in the internal processes and risk management
  • To guarantee a high quality of services and look constantly for customer satisfaction



  • Owner of a university degree
  • 5-10 year experience in a sales environment (B2B preferably) with proven track records
  • 2-4 year experience as a sales manager
  • Experience in the energy sector is a plus or equivalent ( services/utilities with contracts management )


  • Exceptional sales/negotiation skills
  • Pro-active, service minded, flexible, results driven
  • Rigorous, precise, organized and high sense of respect for customers
  • Eager to learn, like challenges and able to manage ambiguity
  • High negotiation skills, sense of contact and communication
  • Analytic skills and ease with complexity
  • Mother tongue Dutch ( high knowledge of French and English are a must )
